Creating Something Truly Unique

Most MadHat Scents fragrances start with a concept — a memory, a place, a moment, or a fragrance I feel doesn’t exist yet. Sometimes it’s an idea I want to fully explore and make my own.

From there, I build a list of materials I think will blend well together. I source natural ingredients and aroma materials from suppliers I trust, using only the highest quality materials that fit the concept.

Then the craft begins. I blend and dilute materials into a concentrate, testing at different concentrations until the balance feels right. Once it’s where I want it, I add ethanol 192 and let it macerate, giving the ingredients time to settle and harmonize.

Every step is hands-on and experimental. Each fragrance is refined until it feels complete. My goal is to create scents that offer a truly unique experience — something you won’t find in most perfumes.
