MadHat Limed

I'm excited to announce that after finding my original notes on some of my earliest fragrances with the full note profile, I was able to rebuild Limed to its true form: bright lime, soft coconut nuance, gentle woods, and a touch of warmth that rounds everything out.

It’s crisp, fresh, and extremely addictive — the kind of scent that feels simple at first, but unfolds into something far more textured and alive. I have been blazing through my testing bottle.

This is MadHat Limed, carefully rebuilt from my original notes. More than 95% of the original ingredients remain unchanged, with a few modern synthetics added to help maintain the brightness of the lime and the depth of the woods. To be transparent, I was not able to source one of the sandalwood varieties from Vanuatu, so I replaced it with Sandalwood By-Absolute from New Caledonia, extracted from heartwood and used a much higher dosage of Mysore Sandalwood.

Sandalwood and other wood-forward notes naturally evolve over time, so if you enjoy lime and coconut upfront, you can use Limed right away. If you prefer a softer, more smooth-creamy-woody, rounded wood experience, letting it age in a stable environment will bring that out. It may smell different from very old bottles you still have, but the core DNA is the same — and with patience or a larger bottle, you can enjoy it as it was meant to age.
